The Villages English Country Dancers started in May of 2021. Nina Sabin the club instructor loved dancing English Country Dancing (ECD) in Gainesville and decided to start her own lifestyle group in the Villages.
Meeting Days and Times:
Mondays 3:00 – 4:50 at Water Lily Recreation Center, 4710 Marsh Bend Trl, Wildwood, FL 34785.
Thursdays 3:30 – 5:30 at Captiva Recreation Center, 658 Pinellas Pl, The Villages, FL 32162.
The first hour is for beginners.
What is English Country Dancing?
- ECD is a form of traditional folk dancing with social interaction at its heart.
- Everyone takes part across generations.
- Both singles and couples can participate. Two of the same gender can dance together.
- A caller will guide you through the steps.
- The more you do it the more you become addicted to the joy and fun you with your new skills in dancing.
- The elegant music will keep you on your toes.
- It is great fun and is bound to improve your fitness too!
